Default XC90 Middle Row booster seat

Hi

The seat catch (behind the childs calves if they were seated) on the middle seat in the middle row is broken. It means that I cant release the mechanism to fold the seat back on itself to create the booster. Anyone had a similar experience - do I just need to buy a new catch - its hard to see what the cause is but the plastic mould where you put your fingers to operate the seat is hanging off a bit - so clearly its had some abuse - and I cant get it to move the cushion upwards - as is supposed to happen.
Thanks

I'm sure the catch is cable operated, as the release is at the front and the catch at the back so to speak. Can you not tilt the backreast forward to get access to the catch?
