Default XC90 rear door trim panel removal

I have a 2002 XC90 and a problem with it's rear windshield wiper, it's acts as if the drive gear has missing teeth, ie; wiper stops at a specific spot in it's arc while motor runs. I've tried to remove the interior trim, but I'm unsure of the proper procedure. I loosened the panel at the latching mechanism end (it just pulls out) but do not know how to release panel at fixed window edge. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried removing the Wiper and checking if the motor turns fully from the outside?

The wiper is easy to remove, just requires a spanner to loosen the nut. A new rear wiper is about £35ish from a dealer.

Monkey Boy-
Thank you for the suggestion, I will pull the wiper to see if the drive is stripped- I'll let you know.
