That is a fair old price hike! Was much done to its appearance after this years new ownership to justify that? Mechanical stuff can be done at ones leisure, but there's no way of getting round the cost of paint, even if applied ones-self.
Yes I drive one, but are people nowadays prepared to drive round in a visibly shabby car even if it runs perfectly: most people seem to want to appear as if they care......

Doesn't sound like a honest description either so doubt he will get that if folk go look at it.

I'd have driven that just the way it was. I had a battle scarred battle ship grey amazon estate many years ago and few cars cleared the fast lane better!!

. . . if u come up behind someone while doing 90 in a 240 est, they tend to move over, too. Except the newest german marque, who tend to just accelerate.

Glad to see my old car lives

The latest ebay description was mostly true - though he was speaking like he'd done the work. and it's not a DeLuxe, though the leather seats from a 164 may have suggested to him it was, to be fair.

Did it actually sell?

I'm not sure this car will ever be restored
