Default clunk when pulling off

Hi I have a "clunk" when i drop the clutch quickly and pull away, if i feed the clutch in slowly nothing, and if i accelerate sharply in gear nothing. Universal joints ???

UJ's and axle bushes would be the first checks

You might also like to check the gearbox mounting for sloppiness.

I had something similar once and it was the radius arms on the rear suspension.

Default I think I've solved the problem.

Last year I bought a genuine Volvo rubber prop shaft carrier (and bearing, spring and gearbox mount). I gave it to a local Volvo Specialist to fit, as I thought it would be awkward without a proper lift. I was careful to ensure I had bought the genuine Volvo part.

I got under the car the other day to take a look and it is easy to pull the prop shaft about to make it hit the transmission tunnel.

On closer inspection, it looks like the Volvo specialist has not fitted the Volvo prop shaft carrier I supplied. Strangely the spring looks like it has been changed. The rubber mount is still the old non-Volvo one. See pic attached.

The supplier from whom I originally bought the part has very kindly offered to send me another carrier FOC. This time I will fit it myself.
