Wing mirror replacement - V50

Good afternoon. Just had drivers side Wing mirror and casing destroyed in middle of night. Am finding it surprisingly difficult to know which replacement to order. My car is a 2009 V50 1.6d s Black. Mirror itself is electric, heated non-powerfold. Replacements I've seen on eBay confuse hell out of me. Some state 2004-2012. Others show 2008-2012. Really difficult to know from pictures if unit is a match for mine. I also cannot.locate any part numbers for my car. Any help most appreciated.

Part number for your mirror should be 31278736. RHD, manually folding electrically operated.

The cover part number is 31278746 but will need to be painted the correct colour.

I have a 2011 v50 1.6d2, standard wing mirror electric operated and manual fold.
8 wires if this helps

Read that the shape changed over the years, confused about what will fit

So do i need one from 2010 onwards will try adding pictures for reference, also are c30/s40/v50 interchangeable

That does look like the largest size. I presume from the photos you need a nearside mirror? From VIDA the part number you'd need is:

31218183 (Left - without puddle lights)
(VIDA shows the same part number for MY2010, 2011 & 2012)

For MY2009 the same part was 31278742 so it would backup my thoughts that they are different.

@Arnieshwarz The covers are actually available painted to colour from Volvo. If you want to know the part number post your paint code here and I'll lookup the matching cover part number if you like.

A whole new mirror with cover new (manually folding) is about £380 fitted (£320 not fitted) from Volvo. I know as a taxi smashed our driver side mirror clean off and she paid for a new one a couple of years ago.

@v50h The right side mirror for your car is part number 31218181 and cover is 31278746.

Your photos look like you have Savile Grey paint code 492. IF that is the case the pre-painted cover part numbers are:
left: 39857938
right: 39857940

Check your paint code on the drivers door pillar label.
