Odd one this.

My V50 has now done just under 14,000 miles on its original PZero Rossos with a good 4 mm of tread left, so I should see 20,000 so I must be doing something right.

I would be horrified at 10,000 on a set of rubber.

hi i usually get 25000 to 35000 on a set of tyres and i drive pretty quick . you might need a 4 wheel balance , they are £40 ish from volvo dealers dont buy avon tyres ,, worst ive had .. ive got some federal ones on now ( £200 ) ish 4 set done nearly 20 k so far & still got loads of meat on em

Any car putting 230bhp through the front wheels and occasionally driven harder than a Sunday drive is going to suffer from heavy wear especially with softer rubber. I tend to use tyres with a softer rubber compound to ensure better grip for the most part of the year but I accept the trade off is heavy wear.
