Removing Injectors from a '97 V70 TDI
Having taken my TDI to the volvo specialists in Bridgend for an engine check over theyve found that i will need to replace one of the diesel injectors. Ive no idea how they found that one of them needs replacing, but i do know they read the codes, but not too sure if they can tell from that if an injector isnt working as it should.
Anyway, i have a spare engine with injectors, are there any special tools i need to remove diesel injectors? First time i will really be working on a diesel engine so ive no idea. Cheers

To answer my own question, you need an allen key socket set, 15mm spanner and mole grips to remove an injector.
Hi Mike, it was ever so slightly lumpy on idle, hardly noticable, but did show fault codes. The injector has now been changed and the fault codes havent come back. So everything looks to be ok. I shall be taking my spare set of injectors in to get tested and repaired if neccessary.
