Default Wheely need this one

Hi

I have 5.5 x 15 fitted -- told they were the original Volvo 6" race wheels -- probably a lot of old bo++ock but one of them is buckled

Has anyone got a second-hand one lurking about they want to part with ??

Cool

Picture? Part number? 5.5 is obviously not 6" so judgement is reserved over the description................

The wheels look like this-------

http://s1341.photobucket.com/user/ot...tml?state=copy

They appear to be 15 x 6" not 5.5"- having taken a measurement now the rain has finally stopped

I know the guy used to race Duetts and Amazons and said the wheels were rare?

Anyway -- looking for one of these if anyone has one

Default Wheel

That wheel will be very difficult to find.
Not a Volvo part.
A long time ago the rim was made by Dunlop in India, then the wheel was assembled by Motor Wheel Services. They cannot do it anymore.
Get the buckled wheel straightened.

A racing Duett, now that would be a sight to see.
The rim width is measured across the inside of the edge of the wheel. 1.e. where the tyre bead seats. Unless you have a big pair measuring callipers it's difficult to get any idea of the width. Best to have the tyre off for that. As asked, if there is a part number stamped on the centre on the inside that would help and it should also have the size stamped there too.
If it says Lemmerz - 1538 - 5 1/2" x 15, you do indeed have one of the rare "kronprins" wheels. Hard to find, but someone may have an odd one.

Nice Firenza!

Hi

Thanks the Firenza took 2 years to get like that -- I have a feeling this will take longer.
The wheel is at a wheel repairer-- dropped it off today --will get the news in next couple of days I guess.

I will still be looking for a spare even then.. even a 5.5

I measured with callipers and it came to 6 " but when I get it back -- it will have been measured accurately.

As for the Duett -- sorry I have just seen a piccie of one and that is an estate-- my mistake-- no it was -- no it was a saloon thing a 444? it was championed by a Guy called Liam Murphy from Kildare at Mondello Park--he is starting to do it up again
You will have to excuse my ignorance with Volvos -- and numbers !!! sorrry
