Default Replacement brake master cylinder - any help!

Good evening all,

I need a replacement brake master clyinder for the old girl but my local part supplier say's he cannot find one! After an hours of surfing the web, trying GSF, Euro ( getting desperate) and Skandix alike, it seems this part is harder to find than the holy grail!!

Does anyone know a good Volvo spares supplier, doesnt have to be genuine volvo part, who may be able to help and not cost the value of the car?? The OEM number is 36002538.

thanks in advance

thanks, will give them a try. Slightly reluctant to get used parts for the braking system, but this may be my only option

Cheers Mark

Hi
Quite a few come up on a google search.

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/36002538

Probably the same as the Ford one so might open up the search if you can cross reference.
A lot of stuff on my car has the Fo Mo Co numbers on

Fair point about used parts for something as safety critical as the master cylinder, a lot of the parts on the C30,S40, V50 come are same as ford focus (mk2?),

Thanks all,

Managed to get one from Volvo Saab breakers in Nottingham. No ideal but cannot get a new one at a reasonable price, circa £70-£80. Genuine Volvo from a dealer we nearly £300

Part changed and all corners bled up, i now have a brake pedal again!

thanks for the input guys
