Hi Moose

Sorry just noticed that you said "The gaiters are fine".

Crossed wires!

Anyway, I will try to get some for myself.

If you want gaiters phone FRF, Swansea as many local dealers are useless. Volvo still supply them for the 700 Series so, knowing Nivos, they are probably the same but, whatever my money is on being able to get them.

P.S. I see part No 1387105 is quoted above. That's the same No. for Nivo gaiters (Volvo name - rubber bellows) as I put on my 745 a couple of years ago. As above, I suspect the gaiters are universal for Nivos of this age.

Yes listed for 940.

Steve,

Yes, my gaiters are fine but it would be no ill store to have spares. I plan on keeping the car for as long as I can as I know it virtually inside-out. Plus I have an alergy to new cars that have gps receivers, are wifi enabled and will be linked to the internet and lots of computor chips/motherboards etc that can be controlled by the manufacturer if 5G ever makes it to our streets.

The price for the 1387105 gaiters from Volvo is £12.20 each + VAT. My local dealer will get them in so I can match them against my ones and if they are no good they will take them back.

My Volvo dealer said his system said they were for quite a few models but the 850 was not listed. As you say they may fit - I will get a pair and see.

Out of interest I sent an email to Skandix.de yesterday evening mentioning my 1998 V70 T5 CD Auto and their reply came in this morning:

Thanks Bob,

So are you saying the boots/gaiters/bellows for the 1998 V70 T5 would be the same as for my 1996 850? Ie. not available?
