I'm not aware of any anti-kidnap mechanism in European spec cars enabling the opening from the inside.
Iv'e just been out and tried that, it works.

I tried all combinations of trying to open it from locked, from single unlocked and double unlocked. The key fob only ever allows it to be opened as the sole unlocked 'door' but - however it's opened - it still needs to have the switch on the tailgate handle depressed when pulling it open. So I'll speculate that the S60 and V60 are different in this regard? Or maybe there's a setting in the Sensus system?

My previous car (a 2004 Honda Accord Tourer) would completely raise its large tailgate to horizontal from the key fob and also close it. That was pretty impressive!

I tried all the combination and I couldn't get it to work open....
May be mine is older than yours 😉

I think its that the S60s open the boot from the remote and the V60s don't.

Probably because the V60 boot lid swings significantly away from the car and could clobber something much more easily.
