Default V60 rear brake callipers - cast iron or aluminium

I’m looking to swap out my rear callipers for new ones due to ongoing issue with permanent contact of the pad on the disc.

Lots of sellers of these parts but one key question is whether the existing callipers are cast iron or aluminium. How to check?

Apologies in advance if this really is a schoolboy question!!

Car is. 2012 V60 R-Design D3 (5 cyl)

Maybe see if a magnet sticks?

But why does it matter?

Thanks for confirming. I thought they would be aluminium. Seems there are two types available, hence my ask...

I'm interested in which one you'd choose, and why?

If my current are aluminium then I’d choose aluminium.

Just need to replace my existing with new!
