Any tips re the above gratefully received. Dooable from above or better from below ?

Best method of getting oil into gearbox ?

If yours is the same box as my 1999 2.4 N/A, what I did was:
Jack up, wheel off, lower until car is level at front. Then extra supports etc etc.
Remove fill plug before draining, to be sure you can!
For refilling I used the 1l bottle the oil came in but extended the tube with some I had lying around. That meant I could hold the bottle outside of the wing and above the filler hole.
All very easy.

Sorry for delay, sudden admission to hospital etc

No idea if box the same on a 99 but sounds like it should be no sweat when I make the time !

The fill plug is at the rear of the n/s driveshaft, approximately 2-3 o'clock position.
Definitely an under the car job, drain plug is close to the sub frame at the n/s so expect a little oil to sploosh over it during draining.
Takes about 2.1 litres of the older GL4 oil, 75-80 or 75-90 will do fine.
