Default 2007 C70 headlights

The plastic lenses on my C70 headlights (both sides) are cracked in two places

Can I get new plastic lenses or even better new glass lenses for this year of car Or do I need to replace the whole headlamp assemblies?

I know I can get new glass lenses for the older style of headlamps with the separate turn indicator But what about getting them for this car are they available and if so from where?.

I NOW THINK THE V70 HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT THE SAME

But the V50 ones look the same as the C70 ones

AND I think V50 and S40 and C70 are all the same headlight assembly can anyone confirm this???

Do anyone know if that is the case and if so do you remove the V50 ones by simply pulling up a silver locating clip and then the headlight assembly just pushes out

I have the following part numbers on my headlights

RH 9466362 0 301 223 602

LH 9466361 0 301 223 601

I have the halogen lights since I am changing them and going to uprate them as well is it a good idea to go the Volvo xenon route OR fit aftermarket xenon conversions

thanks

For some reason those part numbers are not recognised by vida, and when doing manual search of the car it show headlamps ONLY for C70 (like non-interchangeable).
However that might be just a cosmetic issue - for example V50 headlamps will show as incopatible with S40, but reality is only difference is grey beziel. Technically are 100% identical.
If you want, I can check your VIN and see what headlamps are listed for your car as per Vida but even this wont tell you if s40/v50 will/wont physically fit.

you CANT go OEM xenon route (lack of levelling, xenon moduole, and different connectors) but you can look into HID retrofitting. Do a proper research before that (plenty of threads about it), though as our cars dont like it and needs some proper preparations.

Hi

Well, that only confirms that those headlamps are used ONLY in C70, according to Vida. There is no other matches.

Plus, I found this thread, so you may be out of luck, unless someone confirms with 100% it would fit and only difference in part number is for cosmetics.

Found some really cheap £40.00 S40V50 lights not 20 miles away....they were nice and the main frame is 99% identical to my C70 ones the only difference from the back is that my indicator bulb is wired internally it is in a twist and turn fitting that also contains the 12V feed and return.....whereas the S40 V50 one has wires going into the bulb holder.

IF I only needed that back parts then they would fit after I swapped over my lenses.

BUT the Front Lens and the associated black plastic mount and surround that clips onto the back part of the headlamp assembly are NOT identical. The S40 V50 lens is much flatter and the black plastic mount part of the lens is totally different as well, as the lens does not project out as far.

OWELL

The guy there says that 'maybe' an S40 V70 year 2007 on, car, may have identical lights to mine...the plot thickens Sadly he is off on holiday for two weeks starting today so this search will continue at a leter date.

Say whaaaaa?

if he meant V70 2007+, its a no go (either pre or FL version) , and if he meant S40/V50 2008+ its a hell no, for sure.
sorry to burst the hope bubble with this small collage below:
