Default 960 2 Position Fog Light Switch

I heard that there is a fog light switch which came in the 960 which allows you to turn your front and rear fog lamps on separately, and it turns them off when the ignition is turned off.

Is this true?

My front fogs are currently hard wired to the battery, and flatten the battery whenever I forget to turn them off :/

Normally combined fog light switches give the choice of off, front only or both, and that looks to be the case on the 960 one.

I'm not sure if they go off with the ignition or not, that would depend on how the relay is wired I think. Is there a reason you can't use a separate front fog light switch? I think the wiring would be there for one.

These cars are pre-wired for the front fogs, all you need is lights, switch and a relay.
They will only come on when the sidelights or headlights are switched on and will go off with the main light switch even if the front fog switch is still in the on position.
It was one of the first jobs i done on mine when I got it six years ago.
