Default That was an expensive visit!

'Dipped beam' message came up, looked at the bulb and it was looking a bit dim and rather purple in output, so went to dealer to get a replacement Xenon.
They fitted it for me while I waited.

Got home, and the OTHER bulb displayed dim and purple (but no dashboard warning message).

Went straight back to dealer who said the other bulb neaded replacing.

Total cost £286 (with 10% off) and apparently no labor charged.

Wow, that's all I can say. I hope they last a fair while!

Blimey they had your pants down - I paid £131 for two of the upgraded Philips XtremeVision Gen2 D1S bulbs and they're really easy to fit yourself as the headlight units just come off the car. They've said no labour but have more than covered their time there.

It's a bit late now but dealers really know how to charge for those bulbs - the standard bulbs can usually be picked up from Amazon for around £50 each.
