What struts did you buy? Mine will need replacing soon, did Magnetti Marelli last time, definitely a big improvement, but they didn't seem quite as supportive as they should be. Can't face spending £40 on 2 from Volvo... but might not have a choice!

I've got a range of grilles ready to go, and I'm probably erring towards the Plastidip-black waterfall option, so I'll be able to offer my spare up later, it'll either be the plain black aftermarket eggcrate from my old car, or the original Volvo eggcrate from my new car which is OK but has a few broken spines.

A lot of this depends on whether The Wife™ forces me to sell it on eBay before I get chance to swap them over

Thumbs up

Fitted my power seat into the S40 today, after weeks of 'thinking about it'.

I never realised the centre console had to come out, to get the rear bolt out from the left hand side runner - additional inconvenience.

Did a pre-fit test and it all worked as it should.

Even worked after fitting too!

The power feed was available in the engine bay fuse box, but not the load side, so I added a fused link into the fuse box and ran the supply into the cabin, following the cruise control air hose.

Just need a new headrest, as the one on the seat is not great - anyone got a spare?

I also need some grille fixing screws and nuts to attach the new sport grille onto the bonnet.

Gary

Cool

I figured out my new oil filter is not leaking after spotting a few drips the day after the oil was changed. Looks like Mr Iffylube didn't clean up the sump after removing the oil filter, had me thinking he might have done something silly for a while. Topped up the oil, 5.5 used out of 5.6 total, so I seem to have got more of the oil out by using an idle flush and cooking it up just before the drain. Famous last block words!

Fuel filter plus diesel purge time, plus ordering 2 new summer tyres on Wednesday. Dunlop Sport Blu Response on the fronts and abused old Michellin Energy Savers on the back (In the bin for winter). The Michellins has survived a bunch of kerb scrapes very well, but they are down to 3mm so October is bin time.

Same here - current ones are still just about intact but they're rusted so will need freeing with WD40 and a bound screwdriver wedged in the gap to stop the bolt spinning. Need some galvanised/stainless ones really....

Hahahaha. Nope I paid for it and everything. Actually grills were a flat rate price of £3 + VAT no matter what it is or the car it came from so it technically cost me £3.60. They have since hiked the price to a mighty £5 +VAT.

Its sat in my loft, should I ever decide to switch back to the stock grill.

Playing with spare wheels....the colour is horrific but I'm rather liking the style against the cars shape.

Default Fun in the snow...

Not quite "today" but had a week in Scotland last week.

Tried to get over Ben Lawers to Glen Lyon (Perth & Kinross) and wasn't, technically, beaten by the snow but by the S60 that was stuck in the snow ahead of us, on the single track road, which we could not shift...

As always, Winnie did us proud on a 6 day, 800+ mile round trip.

Anyway, photo is after I turned around to come back down.
