Steering nosie
Hi, just about to take in my XC70 for it's 3 month check and wondered if anyone else has noticed weird noises coming from the steering at low or no speed, especially if you are using full lock ?? - It sounds like it's jumping rather than the wheels touching the arches or the power steetring straining.
Also just because I wish I'd put it on when I bought the car but can the auto boot opening be retro fitted ?? Thanks |

Have you checked the power steering level, and the tank for any leaks?

Thanks for the reply, Yes I have, it seems to be a juddering, whirring noise only happens at zero or low speed <10 mph and feels like the wheels jump of the surface of the road, no where else.
It's the only thing wrong with the car and probably the best volvo I have owned. |

I have not noticed this on my car... would certainly get it checked with the dealer.
Which tyre pressure do you use, I had to put quite a bit of air in mine after delivery. I would not expect that fitting the auto door as something very economic.. I can imagine it is possible to do it.. but would require a lot of work and a shame to be pulling a new car apart..
