Default Steam, leak problems

2006 s40 diesel. Had a leak in the expansion tank due to a split so bought a new one and topped up water. Sitting in traffic I noticed steam coming from the left, passengers side, under bonnet at the back. Water level has dropped again. What could be happening. Can't smell antifreeze when it steams. Trouble is I hadn't noticed any water under the car when the weather is dry. Any ideas please

Coolant level can often drop after work on the system even when bled properly until everything settles. When the weather is dry run the engine and pop the bonnet to see if you can spot any further signs of leakage.

You will be better off posting in the S40/V50/C70/C30 forum. Then you will get advice pertinent to your particular model.
