Default white steam/smoke

Hi, recently changed the coolant bottle as it had a crack, topped up with coolant and job done.....so I thought.
coolant keeps going down, the car temp fluctuates between 4 mark and half on the dial. When in traffic there appears to be steam rising from the back of the bonnet on the passenger side(uk)

what is this silver pipe?

this appears to be a pin hole underneather the silver pipe

The silver metal pipe is part of the egr and shouldn't have water in it but the black pipe next to it looks like a coolent pipe so I would check that one.

the other thing that happened but only once was the car idling on the drive and notice steam coming from the exhaust, gave a few revs and so much white steam/smoke but the exhaust smelt clean, not of anitfreeze or oil. but after a few minutes it was gone, the engine was already hot so not cold start

Further update, now think the coolant is coming out near or around the injector. While engine was hot I was having a look and saw bubbles/coolant around the injector. The coolant could be coming in to there from the right but shouldn't be water that high. Any ideas please
