Default Xc90 wishbone bush

After a good tip on here to check my bushes after sharing that my braking pulls quickly then rectifies I finally got the wheel off today.I jacked up the hub and got a pry bar in. The round bush that looks like a donut looks like it might have play. I can definitely see some splitting. So if I buy a bush is it a difficult job to change? Or do I get a new wishbone? Thoughts welcome thanks Jed

I'd get a pair of new wishbones, genuine Volvo only. They come with bushes installed. Replace both at the same time.

Aftermarket wishbones are a false economy and will fail quickly and/or give handling problems.

Polybush the existing wishbones, and never have to look at them again.

Two new arms were fitted on my current XC90 just prior to purchasing it so nothing needs doing at present but when I had the S60, I had both original arms Polybushed and the car felt so much tighter.

If the XC90 bushes get tired, I will be fitting Poly bushes.

Are they genuine Volvo? Aftermarket wishbones are known to give the symptoms you describe.

Greg, I'm not the OP, no symptoms on my car.

I used a vice to press the new ones in.
