Thanks Clan, best wishes to you and your loved ones as well!

Not worried about it- heck, quite a few people fail to notice the hose has blown.. And knowing that no damage can occur with it blown is reassuring I guess. I'm one of (lucky?..) few still on the factory-installed PP hose- but it will blow I guess, it's a matter of time..

Many thanks ! Most of the power pulse pipes are fine , i know 3 friends who have had no problems , but like most forums the troubles seem to congregate there !

My factory installed hose was fine too. Then they did a recall to replace it and the troubles began.

Mine blown out after stopping on fuel pump for refilling tank. The car was stationary and I was just about to shut it off.

I bought second hand V90 which was 2 years old with 66K km on clock. I've had car for about 1000km and then the tube blow. Now waiting replacement on Wednesday, wonder if the new tube will hold up

Ours blew with a bang, much like in the OP's video. We had just come to a stop after climbing a very sharp and steep bit of hill on a minor road in the North York Moors.

We've had 3 replacement pipes plus a re-connection since the car was new in June 2016.

I know people argue that the forums can be bias towards problems, but I was contributing here before I owned the car and have encountered many of the same issues as others have on this forum. To be fair, there seems to be a relatively small pool of issues to select from, but those that exist seem to effect a good number of owners. And to their credit, in the majority of cases Volvo have addressed well. I'm very surprised they haven't got on top of this one.

I plan not to accept the first answer when my PP pipe blows again under extended warranty!

Even with a blown PP hose the D5 has 45HP/80Nm more..

I don't think this is just a PowerPulse thing...

Our D5 is pre-PowerPulse and we've also had hose blowing off. 3 thus far under warranty (I think 2x different hoses) and a 4th looks like it's gone now.

The design of the fitments of their hoses generally strikes me as suspect.
