Default SRS Light Reset needed in Hampshire/Surrey please

I changed the steering wheel on my 1998 C70 today, but made the mistake of going for a spin to check it was straight without the airbag fitted. Now the SRS light stays on.Looking back on previous threads,it looks like I need someone to plug something in to clear the fault. Is there anyone in Hampshire or Surrey near to Aldershot who could do this for me please?. Cheers,Tim.

Tim
You almost certainly need VOL FCR and a 16 pin lead. I have both but east London based. If I am right the software is a god send and you might want to consider buying it. Full copy only avail from Ilexa whip have an on line demo, you will get change out of £140 !

Several years ago I did the same as you, reconnected the battery whilst the airbag was removed. Took it to a Volvo indy and they charged me £20 for the reset. It was on a '97 V40, not the same but similar.

My Partners son has a Fault code reader that can do it but we are in Oxfordshire.
I know it works because I was fitting a Parrot handsfree kit in my V50 and never connected the passenger side airbag before I drove the car and suffered the same SRS fault. His scanner cleared it without a problem.
If you are ever in the area I could try to arrange for him to sort it for you.
PM me if you want me to try and arrange it.
