Default Rocker cover seal B4 XC60

So after spending a week at the dealership after being recovered by Volvo Assist, my wife's XC60 has been diagnosed with a faulty rocker cover seal. The dealership (Clive Brook Huddersfield) said that this is only the 2nd example of a oil leak stemming from that location that they have seen in a VEA unit. Has anybody else had a similar issue? We now have the car back but it has to return to the dealership next week for two days as the gasket has to arrive from Sweden! Incidentally, the car is 13 months old and has covered 11.5k.

I've seen a leaking 'rocker cover' reported a few times for diesel (D3 and D4) VEAs, plus also a camshaft end cap leaking. Mine was diagnosed at the last service with a slight weep from both those places and the dealer (Shrewsbury) admitted that they'd seen a few.

Strange how they refer to it as a rocker cover and not a cam cover.

Last time I used the term rocker cover was for my Kent engined Fiesta almost 30 years ago! I'm wondering if it was a material defect or if it could be a design issue.
