Default Buying a used V90 D5 Inscription

Hi out there! i'm new to this site and a potential new Volvo owner! I have never owned a Volvo before before. I have previously had BMW 520d Tourings which have all been great. I would like some general advice and also specific advice on the V90 D5 Inscription, 2 years old, as this looks like the one best equivalent to the BMW. it looks a terrific car! I want comfort mostly as do 30K miles per year mostly motorway. All advice welcome!! thanks.

They are very good cars but make sure you are happy with the load space, for an estate car the rear load area is restricted due to the rake of the tailgate, also I struggled to get in and out as the car is quite low, if you can live with these issues I am sure you will be happy with the V90. Some people have complained about the front seat extensions causing discomfort and digging into their legs (which may be an issue driving long distances as I suspect you do) and wear to the leather side bolsters is another issue. Make sure you have a good test drive.

30k a year mainly on motorways would not suit a T8, D5 is the best option for economy and motorways should avoid regeneration blowback issues related to local driving!

Lovely car but you do sit very very low in it and the door frame top isn’t too distant from the seat squab. This makes exit difficult for taller, larger and older people.

Make sure that the model you are interested in has the full complement of safety features available. I suggest it should have the surround cameras, sunroof with blind spot monitoring as well as the pilot assist feature. Pilot assist is a huge advantage on motorways.

D5 goes really well and is economical on fuel .
