V70: Stereo/SatNav/Phone advice and items much needed!

so the question remains...

i guess i cannot upgrade the centre unit to have the globe button and all the bells and whistles without spending a fortune

you guys suggest any decent android car play display unit i can put on the dash instead?

i imagine nothing can be done to improve the lcd without the unit upgrading too.

what i have seen is one of those display units that support android auto and apple car play (gf has apple im android)

and run an aux cable from the back of the unit to the aux port in the arm rest so audio comes through the car system

car update

so after an examination by a mechanic.. its got evidence of steel seal around the engine bay, it loses water, fan go nuts, apparently some white smoke is coming out..

its going back to be fixed or refund tomorrow.

Poor show, best of luck with the resolution.

Personally, I would go for a full refund and start looking again. A car with an issue like that, even after a full professional repair, would leave me with a permanent ongoing feeling of doubt.

Best of luck in what will hopefully be your next Volvo search.

^^^This, as when 'fixed' it will still have 3 months warranty? or 2 1/2 months). They obviously were hoping it would be ok for 3 months, or you didn't notice anything. get rid.

if its not viable he will refund

if he thinks hes fixed it and wont accept a refund im going to part ex it.

not sticking with something i dont trust anymore.

ive gone to trading standards and motor ombudsman

dealer wont answer my calls and ive had to use differentr numbers to catch him and he said

well it left here fine so we are done with it

i bought it on the 11th....

sought advice now a letter is going his way.

so cant look right now till the funds come back

but yes i am looking

Sorry, only just seen this and so sorry to hear you’ve had issues with the car too! I do think there’s a few Friday afternoon cars and careless owners that pull down a normally quite reliable car, and you’ve found one!
