Default Wrecked tire

had a flat yesterday and had to run about 50 mt's to a safe pull over spot, this is the result! Over €300 for a replacement. Inside edge of tire looks OK Might make a nice garden feature.

This is a volvo rim George?
common problem with fat white walls, nobody likes them for this reason.
When did you bend the rim on inside? Maybe the tyre went because of the damage.
Whow old are they? I can't read the DOT number on pic 3.
If they are more than 3 years in age don't buy one only, you won't be happy.
Why they are expensive like that in Portugal? Is the speed range over "H"?
good luck, regards, Kay

I think this is the American Classic by Coker? Cheaper but still expensive here but you might get away with paying no VAT.

These are the tires I use. Replacement already on order. If I had spare cash I would buy a set of extra wheels and fit ordinary tires and only fit the white walls for shows club meets etc. with the fall in the value of the £ my income has been reduced by over 20% a big hit!
