Question CO2 D5 AWD Geartronic

Hi
I am new to this forum and am looking to get a D5 AWD XC90. I am finding that some dealers list the D5 auto as band K (201-255) and others as L (226-255), which is almost another £200 pa!! This is for vehicles of the same reg letter!! (I am not looking at pre 23/03/06 regs, which will be in K anyway)

I have looked at Volvo owner manuals for 2005, 2006, 2007, which all put the manual in K and the auto in L. The 2010 puts the auto in K.

The only differences I see are engines B5244T4 and D5244T4 (what's the difference?

Also gearbox as AV55-51, except for 2010 as TF80SC. Again, what's the difference?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

There was a period of production around 2007 that falls into a higher tax band. This is because the law/rules changed and it took Volvo a few months to tweak the engine emissions and get the resubmitted (ie just under the limit) figures accepted by DVLA.

Default D5 Auto Tax bands

Hi

Thanks for that but it still doesn't explain why some dealers are listing cars of the same age & spec in different bands! I have seen it too many times for it just to be someone's typo!
