MTE Swedish Premium Software for ALL XC90s.
MTE are able to offer their Software written and developed in Sweden for ALL XC90s manufactured to date.
That means that for £435 including VAT you can have MTE's callibrations installed in your car's ECU with no intrusive electronic/soldering work whatsoever. You do the job yourself with the unique MTE Softloader device acting as an interface between your car's OBD port and an XP equipped laptop. You do have to pay me a returnable deposit of £155 for the Softloader Device, if you keep it it does enable you to change between MTE and Volvo original software at will with the laptop. You can additionally purchase MTE's data logging and diagnostics software for use with the Softloader and your laptop. Regards, Don.

Also interested in what can be done to the D5 now leaving the factory with 200BHP. Obviously engines are de-tuned to a degree to survive all the crap life throws at them but Volvo have already removed some of that safety margin boosting the D5 to 200BHP, how much further is it safe to go?
I'd always fancied the RICA stage 2 to get to 240BHP as that seems around the current norm for big 4x4 diesels (Q7, Toureg, D4 etc), so what options are there now with the 'new' 200BHP D5? Cheers, James. |
