Has anyone actually had this software update and made a map update ?

The reason I ask is because previously the car would only recognise data on a stick when the stick was partitioned to FAT32 1GB I think it was. If the map file is > whatever the partition limit which , let's face it, is not huge by modern data standards how will the car read the USB stick ?

Have you had the upgrade?

When you say 'program' the initial download is the download program to run on your PC. It is needed to download the maps to a USB stick or a portable HDD, formatted as FAT32. As I don't have a 32 GB stick, I created a disc image on my laptop to save the maps.

However, the maps will not load to the car's HDD until the IHU is updated by your Volvo dealer so I haven't tried installing to the car yet.

If it asks for 'insert usb 1' it means it started the install and the USB key was removed. If you insert the same USB key back in it resumes rather than starting from scratch. I had this this time when it seem to freeze, so I removed it and got that message.

£75.54 (Donald's, Ipswich).

Includes the S/W update and installing the maps that are current at that time. Mine's being done on the 4th July.

I spoke to our dealer who did not know anything about it, they spoke to Volvo who said it needed 2 software updates but we're not sure and asked them to do the update and report back to them if it works and quoted about £80 for the update.

That doesn't sound very reassuring! What version of the Sensus system do you have? Do you have Sensus 3?

Mine (being updated next week) reports 0C72 with the maps at V30.14.02. When new, and before the two map updates, it was 0C72 Map V30.12.12.

Hi,
my first post to ask you if SENSUS System ask you a code number when you install update with USB stick ?
On my 2012 V60, maps are founded on USB Stick but a code is asking to start install.
Thanks

Assuming you have had the IHU updated correctly at a Volvo dealer, then no code should be needed as far as I can see. There is no mention of any code on the support site. Seehttp://support.volvocars.com/uk/cars...=2011&sw=10w20
