Default Part number - can someone look up a replacement number?

Hi Chaps

Big favour to ask, as i'm struggling here I've got a part number on my car which has been superseded by another, but I can't find what the new part number is. Anyone have access to the volvo part number system?

Getting quite desperate now

I'll PM details over if anyone can assist!

Many thanks

Y

Just put the part number on here or in Google.
It's pretty rare, Google can't link up to newer numbers.

Thanks chaps, it's 30669744. I've exhausted google/on here and can't find anything about an updated part number. I spoke to FRF and they said they can't give out the updated number either

If you put the part number you supplied into herehttp://www.skandix.de/en/

You get this....http://www.skandix.de/en/search/?q=30669744

So that supplier says it is superseded by 31313083

If you put your number into Google one result is this https://www.volvocarparts.info/Volvo...p/30669744.htm

Which if you look shows a superseded number of 30798167 which is one of the numbers in the link supplied by Cheshired5 which in turn is further linked to 31313083.

You will obviously have to double check the correctness of said info....

Hi Yoda960, Just joined the club today so hope I've got this right. Read with interest your replacement number request as I too am after info on these sensors. I have the usual issue of unwanted fairy lights and messages on the dash and everything points to the steering angle sensor, slip ring, clock spring or whatever you want to call it.

Pulled mine out this morning and it's a 30669744. Car is 2006 V70 D5 with DSTC. This unit is rarer than hen's teeth so I'm hunting a 31313083 unit which I reckon will do the trick.

So it kinda fits in with skandix. I'll let you folks know the results. my fault only appears on hard left hand lock, like winding it into a tight driveway where you are almost bending the steering stops. Unit is centralised and segments all appear ok on the scanner until that last couple of mm and then it's all over.

At circa £280 for a new unit, I'm going to try and repair the old unit.......could be ribbon cable fault that I think I can repair as it's right at the end of the run.

Shout me if you get to hear of any units up for grabs. Budget £60-80. I'll need to wack one in whilst repairing the original (Hopefully)

Thanks

Hi Piers, let me know how you get on with repairing your unit. I still haven't found a replacement for sensible money. The best price new is from a dealer is Rufe on the forum, about £245.

Secondhand they seem to be £100 plus, I don't know where these jokers get their pricing from though. In all likelyhood a secondhand sensor isn't going to last a huge amount of time as this is a common issue, so £100 and over is taking the pi55!
