Not a Volvo...
Sorry but I need a 6 pot petrol back in my life.
18months away and circumstances can obviously change but new 3 series m340 touring, c43, s4 estate are current swilling round my brain.

Id consider a t8 v60 and happy to see what the polestar offering will be but I miss the noise... Not sure on pricing though but by that point there should be good discounts on the German 6 pots.

Not a Volvo.
I can’t come to terms with cold air blowing in my face at all times no matter how high a temperature I ask for allegedly to keep me awake. Shunty gearbox was fixed with nov software update after three years of grief. Too much touch screen interaction and wobbly ride on air are not great but i can live with.

I'll keep my current ride for another 3 yrs or so- and the way things are looking right now- it will most likely be another Volvo. If the V60CC was offered a year ago when I was ordering- it would have been it instead of the XC60- so if I were buying now- it would be the V60CC. 3 yrs from now.. will see what's on the Volvo menu..

Same talk here... go to the new XC90. In three/four years. It will for sure a hell of a SUV.

Haven't voted cos V70 ain't there.

I can only afford 2nd hand & buy cheap but good & run 'em for as long as I can.
Current ones being 15 & 19yrs.

It'll probs be a ph3 V70 .

Whatever, it'll be Ovlov shaped

Angry The premature end for my V70 perhaps

I bought my 2002 V70 D5 turbo secondhand back in mid 2014.
It is the best car I have ever owned. Despite the usual wearing out parts, all replaced by myself and help from this forum and You Tube's help!

With average fuel consumption of 56 mpg, no warning lights, or visible exhaust smoke out the tailpipe, even when the turbo kicks in, it's running great.

This year, polished up, serviced by me, I took it for its 6th MOT with 178,000 on the clock, but the most confident I have ever been.
When I turned up, the lady told me its all done and you owe £56, my confidence was proved, until she said, 'it's failed' on emmissions.
My model has no DPF, last year I was told I was lucky by the Council run MOT tester as DPF will be harder to get through.
This year I did not bother with them as its a distance away and the car is running so well; starts in 2 seconds, And smooth as can be.nI took it to my nearby garage people.

I spoke with the tester after and he informed me that the new test limits have been ratcheted up and mine is TRIPLE the limit? Thousands have been failed and the tester said 'They just want them off th road'.

I am still trying to get an understanding of the seemingly different 'Absorption coefficient' figures listed on my MOT test report. Checking my previous three MOT reports, there seems no correlation. Nothing is explained.

My 2019 'Test limit applied' is 1.19 1/m, the previous 3 were 1.50 1/m, whether that changes the results dramatically or not is the question?
Last year the car had an Absorption coefficient after correction of 1.19 1/m, this years failed at 3.61 1/m .
So my car has either developed a real fault that VIDA and I cannot detect so far or this is the result of the new and tougher regime?

I did hope that this car would see its way through to the not unusual 250k mileage, ask it must be one of the most durable in history. But my fear is that the politicians have decided for me?

If you own an elderly Volvo diesel, start saying your goodbyes perhaps?

V60 or XC40. I've been trying to decide for months but still no nearer. Load space doesn't matter to me so it comes down to stuff like adaptive headlights.

I reckon we need to add Polestar 2 to this poll now - it's certainly a contender as my next vehicle.

I had the same problem and plumped for the v60 because the extra VOC discount made it about the same price with more kit, and earlier delivery. Having had it for 6 months and having just had an xc40 courtesy car, the 60 feels like a much nicer place to be inside, more refined and higher quality. The XC is great but seems just a bit plasticky I think.
