Boot space cigarette socket.
I recently purchased a 2017 XC60, it has most bells & whistles but no cigarette lighter in the boot, can one be added easily without going to main dealer?

Yes, it's a simple plug-in option. Look on the web with Google for the PDF installation instructions...
...here it is: http://accessories.volvocars.com/en-...f/VCC-470576-4 and no dealer programming required

I fitted mine two years ago, you don’t need to gut the rear of the car. Take out the spare and the plastic tray so you can access the modules in the instructions. Get yourself a hole cutter and a Stanley knife to cut out the notch in the bottom of the socket. There’s a hatch in the side panel so that you can get your hand behind the panel. You’ll have no problem with feeding the cables down to link them into the appropriate looms and screw the Earth cable to the rear of the boot.
The instructions however do not tell you about the 40 amp J Fuse that will power the socket, this caused me a lot of head scratching and the Volvo dealers even more head scratching until a VOC member enlightened me. The J fuse fits into the fuse box in the boot (the J fuse is the green box looking thing in the instructions) Happy fitting. TT
