Default PV Front Upgraded Crossmember/Suspension Kit pics.

Here are some basic pics of the PV front crossmember/suspension kits for the PV model Volvo, and this will give everyone an idea of what they are. As you can see they have a larger and heavier guage mounting/contact surface, and acts as additional bracing for the factory uni-body frame structure.. We have also added additional holes to our mount plate, and those are optional attachment points, so the customer can add additonal bolting points. The factory sway bar works also, and being that is is using the factory location, the aftermarket performance sway bars will work also.

With this kit, you have all the options that the P1800/Amazon kits have, which includes several adjustable coil over options, basically unlimited spring rates, close ratio and power rack and pinion options, brake kits up to 14 inch diameter rotors with 6 piston calipers, 2 inch drop spindles for more ride height options, easy camber adjustments, and the newer open crossmember allows a wide variety of powerplant options, ect..

Here are some basic bolt in pics.. I dont have any weight in the front, so it will appear to sit a bit high.. As you can see, the mounting footprint is much larger than the OEM crossmember, so there is some extra support added.. The Sway Bar Mounts on top of the new crossmember mounting plates, and that will also offer some more rigidity for any aftermarket or performance sway bars.

With this kit, you are capable of running up to 14 inch brake rotors and 6 piston calipers as an option. And with the larger brakes, you are shaving an additional 30 pounds of additional weight off the already weight savings of 25 pounds from the base kits. You have several rack and pinion options, from Power Rack, Close Ratio Rack, to a RHD rack in all the previous options. The QA1 coil overs offer basically unlimited spring rates, so you can dial them any for any powerplant you wish to run. With the Coil overs, you also have ride hieght adjustability, Ride Dampening capability, and Rebound control, so there are alot of options there also. Pictured is the standard height spindles, but we do also offer a 2 inch drop spindle, for more ride height options, that dont affect your overall suspension travel..

One of the biggest features of all, is the less bulky crossmember.. This will allow a wide variety of power plants, because the crossmember has more engine height clearance for oil pans, without sacrificing ground clearance.. There is also more width opening with this crossmember, so that will take care of alot of typical motor transplant problems with headers/exhaust, accessories, ect..
