Default Check your ECU wiring bundle!

Hi all, today I removed the airbox from my D5(185) to facilitate a transmission fluid change. I found one of the ecu wiring bundles (the one that goes toward the rear of the engine bay) to have chafed through the braided nylon sleeve, and one wire was exposed to the copper. I have done a temporary fix until I can be bothered to disconnect the battery and unplug the ecu for better access to affect a permanent repair. To my mind the design is prone to chafing on the airbox, there is a fair amount of slack in the way the airbox is mounted to the car.
My car is a 2008 with 295,000km for reference.
