Do you have a changer?? If so i would get an Alpine as it should work with it as long as the alpine is c'net. Also the Alpine is better built, and i think (could be wrong) but you might be able to get an adaptor allowing your amp to be used.

If it's a Volvo one you want then you're probably looking at an SC802 (radio/cassette with CD changer function), SC805 (radio/cassette and single CD slot plus CD changer function) or SC900/901 (radio/cassette and 3 disc cartridge plus CD changer function). The latter model requires an auxilliary amp. Sarge '99 V70 AWD |

Get a single din stereo and a box from a breaker to go underneath it.

I was thinking that when I saw the pic last night..... Thought it was just the fact that I was tired, but it looks the same today. Also, it looks like a knob

Aldi!
I bought a single DIN CD/Radio from Aldi for €70, and adapter lead (to fit the non standard Volvo wiring - you could make one up yourself but I doubt it's worth the trouble at the price) and infill CD holder from Halfords for a total of €45. The old SC 801 radio cassette popped out really easily, you just need to press in the buttons on each side until they pop out, then grip them and just slide the unit out. The Halfords infill box wasn't a great fit so I used some draught excluder foam to stop any rattles - cosmetically it's fine.
The only problem I had was finding that the permanent live 12v and the 12v that shuts off with the ignition were swapped, not sure if that was down to Halfords but it was a simple matter to rectify once I figured out what was happening. For a cheap unit the sound is not bad, and now I can play CDs.
