mintex brakes
Hi all!
Is £85 for pads and discs for the front, and £60 for pads and discs for the rear a good price? The brand is mintex. Can you get these cheaper from like express factors, motor world, halfrauds, etc? thanks in advance! |

NO, it was the 286mm from ebay. I got my bits from Quality.car.parts on ebay, i arranged to pick them up from Manchester as I was passing on my way to Scotland (an hour's detour but still saved cash!!!).
Just a note... you can buy the discs and pads separate from their site cheaper than buying the discs + pads combo box! so it came to £127 for everything. I saved £18 by buying everything separate. And a further £18 by picking up!!! Here's the link! http://search.stores.ebay.co.uk/qual...162456QQsofpZ0 Do i need to buy these also... ? Are these for the S60 D5? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLVO-S60-S80-...QQcmdZViewItem Last edited by Gareths306; May 8th, 2007 at 20:26. |

Rear shoes? I thought the S60 had discs on the back?! They could be for the handbrake I suppose, in which case I'd say if you've got discs on the back then no don't worry about them unless your handbrake is stuffed.
Glad to see you getting your brakes sorted though m8 Cheers, John |

Replacing the rear discs will be enough to rejuvenate the handbrake. |

The price really has to be considered in terms of which grade of Mintex pads you have bought. Regards, Don.
