Naturally it is in the Club's interest to recruit as many mebers as is practical and the Forum and Website do of course generate many members.

I am assuming that everyone who visits the website has a natural interest in Volvos, and would therefore appreciate feedback (good or bad), particularly from non-members of the Club as to why they do not feel it beneficial to join, and also any 'benefits' or 'activities' that perhaps the Club should be looking to introduce to make the Club more attractive to them.

Thank you in advance for any comments.

Chris

I would have dearly loved to have to have joined the Volvo Owners Club, but by the time it came for me to do so, my poor Volvo was gone. Dead/Scrapped/Crushed - My Volvo was no more.

Due to the hand of fate that constantly bites me on the rear, I sadly could not afford another Volvo & so ended up with an Astra instead. (It was either that or I could have s****ed the Vicar because he has a big one........A Volvo that is, but he is so tight he won't part with the communion wine, never mind his Volvo.) Whinge....Mutter.....Moan.

I could join the Vauxhall network but quite frankly they are not that friendlly, & lack the canny characters that are the backbone of this exclusive little fountain of knowledge that is the VOC Forum club. (Where else can one find such hidden treasures such as the Sexy Caveman, The Devil Himself Mr. Adamski? or is it Sky? The Delightfull Des that delivers more posts than Royal Mail or is it Consignia??????, & of course the man with plenty of Venom & Bite to keep us all in check, the master of ceromonies himself Mr. Viper7 Ladies & Gentleman.

Some time ago in one of my many ramblings that bores the hell out of people from time to time, I did suggest an affiliate membership for non owning Volvo Members (they either had to be an admirier or previous Volvo Owner to join) at say a cost of £5 or £10 per annum?. The membership would not allow any Voting rights etc etc, but was merelly a suggestion to fill the coffers with your crock of gold. - Perhaps a poll? Vote to gauge opinion?

All joking apart, I would hate to lose the "special friendship" I feel that exists here, so I would be happy to join or contribute financially to keep the forums going as it is only fair & proper that if we use it, we should help pay for it.

Ok, I am going back in my box.
