RWD? please no, were in the 21st century, however im sure bmw would restore volvos long tradition for building solid well engineered quality cars, as they do themselves, bring it on.

second that
I would be pleased if BMW took over the running of Volvo. BMW certainly make equally as good cars as Volvo and certainly better than Ford.

Least we forget, BMW once owned Rover / MG then sold them for a £1 lol...................What chance would you give Volvo then?
FWD is just cheaper to manufacture by the way no tech advantage overall lol.....IMHO. Click on pic for movie.................. Cheers

Rover !
Rover, British Leyland, Leyland Cars, Routes etc call them what you like they were rubbish. The only good car that I recall as a young teenager and not legal to drive was the SD1. My brother drove them for a living in London, traffic, DPG and Sweeney and he said they were totally unreliable. Fast when going, but you knew something was going to go wrong before the end of your shift, which invariable it did.
I was surprised BMW even thought about buying Rover, not surprised in anyway they got shot of them. There is a universe of difference between the top of the range model rover and a basic Volvo. I would'nt touch a rover if it was the last type of car available. V70 driver |
