Why? You ask. Well ...............
1) The 1986 240 GLE went straight through it's MOT this week only needing an adjustment to the headlight alignment, although I don't know why as it has not been tampered with or had a bulb replaced, and .................
2) I have now replaced two of the pathetic Pirelli P6000 tyres on the S60, having just got 20k out of them, with Toyo Proxes T1-R from mytyres.co.uk and already the difference is noticeable in the reduced steering wander and tramlining. The new ones are on the back and much quieter than the P6000's. The fitter commented on the strength of the side walls (it took two of them plus the machine to get the tyre on the rim!!) and added that I would probably not know if I ever got a puncture in one of them. So I am half way to getting the car into something I will enjoy driving.
