sc-805 radios cd are they any good

Anyone got an sc-805 radio cd cass and are they anygood?

I was thinking of upgrading, also has anyone replaced speakers in the 850.. could you tell which fitted the best and sound good.

Indeed the 805 in my S70 with the premium sound speaker pack sounds great and as I have mentioned here before, it is the first time I have bought a car and not ripped out the stereo in the first week for something a lot better.

Best stereo out-of-the-box ever!

Still ripped it out though and put in Custom-Fit jobbies by MB-Quartz - Sounds Lubberly!

As for the radio - yeah worked nicely, just never had the RCA outs I needed to drive the amps.... so that went as well, which is a shame cos it's still bumming round the floor under my desk at work... :(

DynAudio.... Nice.

My '98 V70 had the paper cones (sound crap - harsh 1k to 4k). Thought about Dynaudio, cost for the mids and tweeters went over a thousand. Settled on Diamond Audio mids and tweeters, Infinity subs, twin amps, DAB, traxdata mp3 player. Sounds absolutely amazing, best install i have done to date.

If I had been paying for it myself, I would have done the same as you but I was lucky in that the last owner who bought the car new, raided the options list :)

Hi,
I have the 700 version in my 850 T5,I guess the unit are referring too is a higher quality unit.You aren't thinking of selling your old unit are you per chance?
If you are maybe you'd be kind enough to let me know?
