I spotted a dark green 245 this morning on the A14 at Newmarket, at about 7:30. Unfortunately it was going in the opposite direction and so I couldn't see much, but it looked like a 1979 or 1980 GL with rectangular headlamps. I was tempted to make a u-turn through three lanes of traffic and the central reservation to get a closer look, but decided that would make me late for work.
Was it anyone on here?

There was an early dark green GLE sold on e.bay by ex-Practically Jurassic mag editor Peter Simpson, it was in Peterborough, so not a million miles away. Possibly the same one?

Yes, I did think it could have been that one - it certainly was identical.

Tell us more about the car, it's quite an unusual spec nowadays. Cheers John (PS, by the way, if you decide to sell it on, can I have first dibs?) |

but the service history is amazing and the car needs to be saved. Im using it everyday until the mots up (not long) then things will start to happen. The plan is to try to keep its original charm but with lowering it and doing a T5 engine conversion. Thanks |

Nice Idea
And I am, a big believer that cars are there to be used and developed but it is a shame to remove that B21e engine even if yout putting in a T5, my opinion only and please dont take it to heart... it's a big job to do ask Antz on here!!
Keep us all posted
