Default Climate Control AC Temperature - Adjust both?

Hi all,

I'm a newbie V70 owner but long term Volvo owner, got nearly every model in the family. :-)

My question is, in my Volvo S40 you can adjust it so you adjust the temp for both sides at the sametime or separately from the one knob.

Whereas with the V70, both sides have it's own knob to adjust the temp, so if you want it even you have to alter both. Is there something I'm missing?

I have the same issue - my Honda had a "dual"button, that allowed for separate setting each side, or both controlled by the driver's. I've not found anything for it on the v70...

I would love to know if this can be done. I rarely have passengers in my car.

add a long rubber band across the 2 buttons n u get dual action, but seriously
why not just adjust yr side for comfort n leave the other for your
partner or passenger to play with when they ride along.

I think we discussing the issue when their is a sole occupant! Why have both sides trying to fight each other if there is no one in the passenger seat?

In over three years of ownership I kept the temperature at 19 deg C on both sides. Cannot recall any passenger changing them, but perhaps they felt that permission would be denied! The only time the temperture was changed was my monthly excercising of the cars functions many of which don't get used that often. Then I would wind up both ACC dials to max and then after a couple of minutes to Min in short steps. This was because in two previous cars (Saab BMW) I found ACC tended to stick if not excercised periodically.
