Hi All,

Looking into possible upgrades for my V70 D5 2008 that I've recently taken under my wing. Just come across the IPD Uprated Anti Roll Bar, worth it? much benefit?

I didn't know there was one! Is it for the front or rear?

take it u mean the one that is for sale on a famous action site...this is for the rear of the car, fancy this myself but am not sure if it will make a big difference.

Hi.. I had a set of these on my 2004 P2 V70R and I'd never go there again. Whilst they are good and do improve the handling making the car much flatter through corners, the bushes lose their lubrication with our lovely British weather and that causes the bushes to wear prematurely and then the bar knocks over uneven roads.

The after sales care I got from IPD was frankly appalling. They ignore you on the whole and then on the odd occasion they do respond (which can take weeks) won't accept what you provide evidence of as they consider their products to be faultless and it is for this reason alone I would never buy another of their products as long as I own a car.

Sorry if that sounds negative but, I can't recommend on the back of rubbish service.

I would need to check my showroom thread but I'm sure when I fitted an uprated ARB on the rear of my V40, it made the body flex more and needed a strut brace to stiffen things up.
