Question S40 2006 2.0D Coolant Fan

hey guys!

need some help, i have just replaced the coolant fan and unit on my friends S40 2006 2.0D because it wouldn't come on and over heated.

But i still cant get it to come on. I have refilled and bled the system, all hoses are hot so all good but still the fan will not kick in at the point of letting out steam. is there any other sensors other then the one attached to the fan cover?

this is the fan (replaced entire thing)

thank you

Have you checked the fuse did not blow with the old fan not working? They carried out a mod to the fans as the connector used to get water ingress might be worth checking connections & fuses then get the codes read to help identify the fault?
