I would replace the boost sensor located on the left hand side (passenger side) of the intercooler for sure it cured my issues

V60 2012 D3. I had VIDA error and check engine light ECM-P140700 exhaust gas recirculation no flow detected.
Found couple of threads here, DPF sensor live data seemed ok, so I changed boost sensor in intercooler, Old was 0261230294-> replacement 0261230293 Old sensor was quite oily. Error gone over two weeks now. 0 in VIDA. Seems that erg no flow is generic code... but my local volvo garage wanted to change egr, quite expensive and waste of money. |

Hi I Had this fault code come up on my XC60 2.0 5cyl Auto (egr low flow ) . The egr valve, throttle valve, inlet manifold and connector pipe were all pretty badly choked up with black oily gunge . I cleaned this all out, cleared the code and no further problems .
It is not to difficult to remove the pipe between manifold and egr valve , this will show just how bad the problem is on your car. It would be worth having a look to check. |

When people are mentioning the boost sensor, do you mean the boost pressure sensor or the boost control valve? I believe it's the control valve that's under the intercooler?

The boost pressure sensor which is fitted into the intercooler.
If you look down, at the bottom hose to the intercooler, on your right hand side, you will see the sensor.
