Default Green Silicate Antifreeze without added OAT technology

Hi

Does anyone know where I can buy reasonably priced concentrate not pre-mixed Green Silicate Antifreeze without added OAT technology?

I was getting it at a good price but now they all seem to have added OAT in with the silicate which is not what I want?

I know Volvos will sell it but it will cost an arm and a leg!

I always get my concentrated coolant from a dealer.
Guaranteed correct and competitively priced.

If you want old skool EG antifreeze I'd go for Comma Super Coldmaster

Not anymore it isn't, they've changed it so it's a hybrid OAT and are telling customers it is backwards compatible but it isn't.

Yes, thats what I've discovered.

I've discovered today that my previous green pure silicate one had been hybridised with OAT without my knowledge, any chance that that could have caused my minor head gasket fail or the failure of my header tank lower hose?

Halfords no longer recommend the Comma one for my 940, they must know something we don't, maybe that is hybridised with something now too?

This product is not suitable for your vehicle

The only one they recommend is the Halfords silicate antifreeze.

Halfords used to recommend G48 and then changed to G64. G48 has silicate inhibitors the same as the genuine Volvo stuff does. I'm no expert but I think silicate inhibitors are slightly different to OAT additives

Super Coldmaster is a bog standard EG antifreeze and is also fine for older steel engines

I was looking at the Super Coldmaster but it is blue and ours is supposed to be green? I am confused?!

The coolant I have been using guarantees it can be mixed with other coolants so I should be ok to mix my old green one with the Super Coldmaster blue one. I've ordered 5litres concentrate Super Coldmaster on Ebay, £19.99, last one. Cheers everyone
