  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default oil filter

s40 filter not a straightforward replacement. apparently i need a special tool to take the outer casing off in order to replace the paper filter that sits within it. where would i get one of them from please?

Depends which engine you have, I believe I used this one for our 1999 S40 1.8 white block:

Yes I think it's like a lid with an o-ring under it - it's a long time since I did it but I don't remember there being any surprises.
