Default Front Coil Broke

On way back from working away my front OS coil broke. AA called out put super space saver on and i drove back 300 miles doing 50MPH with AA following me all the way

Question the cost to replace front shocks both sides and maybe both coils cost about £600
Is there anyone in the UK who assemble Complete strutts that i can buy and fit myself

I can remove and fit but dont want to attempt compressing the coil springs even with correct tool

I guess all the messing about just worth taking to local garage

Why are you renewing the front struts?

If there is no damage to the struts and they are in good order generally just replace the springs, will cost a lot less than £600, and i believe someone is breaking a s/v40 in the sales section and there is also Ebay.

Just buy 2 from a scrappy, piece of pizz to fit! They ARE PH1 and PH2 specific (spring sizes, turrets and anti roll bar mounts). You dont say whether petrol or diesel. Get legs from comparable vehicle.
