FRONT Subframe Bush....

Hi. The attached shows front subframe bushes they seem to be very cheap is this true? Anyone used them thanks

I think the genuine Volvo ones are only £15. From all I've read about after market bushes failing after a few months, added to the pig of a job it is to change the subframe bushings, I'd say it's worth spending the money on genuine Volvo.

I'm looking to do mine too (v70 d5), so hopefully this adds to the conversation.

The American forum, swedespeed swear by delrin subframe bushes, but they're all on petrol engines. I haven't seen a report from anyone using poly or delrin bushes on a diesel (generally more shaky), and how it would affect vibration.

I'm interested though.

Are you planning on doing them yourself?

Hi. Yes I am planning on doing them myself I added the plastic inserts you can buy on ebay for £20.00 they didn't make a blind bit of difference. Thanks Matt

Wow, that's almost like they are giving you money to take it. Crazy, it's not a toothpick.
That said, ALL brands will look the same, however the bad ones will last as mentioned a few weeks at best and they are going to fail completely, unlike your old genuine ones who are still hanging in there. And it's not exactly the easiest job to replace them.

Gotta agree with Volvo quality for "hard rubber" parts.
I installed the poly inserts in my petrol's front subframe bushings and felt a distinct but small improvement.
The poly control arm bushings are what you want first.
